The Open Doors Foundation is a non-profit
corporation created by David B Joseph, MD and Nadine M Antonelli, MD in August,
2005 to support the educational needs of children with autism and related
disorders in New Hanover County, NC.
When their own child was diagnosed with autism in
March 2002, they sought to implement an intensive
educational program that would meet their child's needs.
Realizing the limited support and choices families were given, they
founded the Open Doors Foundation to increase educational opportunities for
children with autism in the community.
